1. At the beginning of my blogging year, I used to find reasons to blog. If you have this problem too please read this article 10 Really Good Reasons to Blog

You and I know good reasons to blog. Hundreds of millions of bloggers know good reasons to blog. It still amazes me when I find people who really do not understand all of the very important reasons why individuals and companies write blogs and comment on blogs, often. Maybe you don’t write a blog, and you just enjoy reading them and adding your comments, or maybe you are a full time super-blogger. In either case, it never hurts to review some of the basics. Here is a list of ten really good reasons to blog. I invite you to add to this list in my blog’s comments … as it should be.

2. Well, I must admit that today was my “advice for bloggers ” day :D . How to Be a More Relational Blogger [Tips for New and Established Bloggers]

The community and relational aspect of that first blog was a big part of why I decided to start my own first blog. I’d not seen anything on the web that allowed a person to grow a community around their ideas before and wanted to experience it for myself.

So I started my first blog – a personal blog about life, spirituality and culture – and began to experiment with my voice but also with engaging with those who read what I was writing each day.

3.  11 Quick and Simple Ways to Spread Positivity Around You Today

1.  How to Think About Possibility – And Why It Matters

I’ve been thinking about possibilities for a good while now and have been slowly synthesizing a few different problems that have possibility as one of their root issues. It’s taken me a while because I’ve been fluctuating between the general philosophical theme and the local applications, and weaving all of the ideas together has been a challenge. I’ll take a shot at it today.

2.  Too Much Work? Here’s How to Handle It

As I mentioned earlier this week, the best way to be productive is to work hard and commit to less. However, it raises an important point, what if the few commitments you do keep simply have too much work? How do you handle it?

I recently had a conversation with Stefan Knafen, a medical student and writer for StudySuccessful.com. He claimed the biggest challenge of medical school was that there was so much of it. Thousands of pages of reading and hundreds of hours of lectures, all needing to be learned.

3. How to Make that Change Stick: The 11 Point Checklist for 2010

It’s a fresh new year.

Although you can make a positive change in your life at any time most people get an extra dose of enthusiasm around this time of the year. That’s only natural.

1.As I probably mentioned in earlier posts, one of my biggest problems is to be organized. So, whenever I find something that could help me, I am thinking that there are probably people that have the same problem as I do. So, can you Make Time to Get and Stay Organized?

What’s the best time to get organized? The ideal answer is, “all the time.” However, taking advantage of natural times can kick-start or motivate the organization process: a New Year’s resolution, spring cleaning, start of the school year, an important deadline, etc. all provide opportunity to get organized.

Many people use the excuse “I just don’t have enough time to get organized.” If you don’t have enough time to get organized, then you’re a prime candidate to get organized. It takes time and energy to get organized, but brings the gift of added time to your life. So… what are some simple ways to manage your organizing time?

2. Sometimes I think about my failures, and I realize that some of them were caused by the wrong perspective that I was looking at problems. I was comparing my project to other projects, I was maybe expecting too much progress after too little time, and I did not have enough trust in me. I realized that reading  The Grass is Always Greener on the Other Side

It always looks better. The other side, the grass on the other side. Not just the grass, also the neighbor’s wife, your friend’s sports car, your boss’s apartment, your colleague’s job and how ever many examples you want to hear.

3.Success! Don’t we all want it? 20 Powerful Beliefs That Will Push You Toward Success

I’m sure you have met at least one person in your life that is successful, motivated and self-empowered. This is someone that always seems to land on their feet, turns everything into gold and every success seems to come their way faster and thicker.

1. From ZenHabits (which you know that I love to read!), I recommend you to read “How to Make the Most of the Fresh Start of a New Year”

We’re several days into the New Year, and many of us are still basking in the glow of a fresh start.

Every year, January brings renewed optimism for change, for a better life, for a better you. And that’s a wonderful thing.

It’s wonderful, because this fresh start gives us a chance to reinvent our lives and ourselves. It allows us to reinvigorate ourselves, to shed the baggage of the previous year and do anything. Anything is possible!

2. Because everybody has his/her fears ;)   6 Deceptively Simple Ways to Conquer Fear.

We all battle with fear. Just a few short years ago, the underlying current of my being was filled with fear, worry and anxiety. When your whole life is controlled by fear, it starts to get to you.

Fear isn’t your enemy; it is through fear and hardship that we grow the most. When you think about it, if your life was free from any challenges, it would be fun for some time, but ultimately it would get pretty boring as you skated through each day without any challenges.

3. For this new year, I guess we all have plans. But, there must be some daily important things, that we have to be sure that are in our program. You really shoul read Your Peak Performance in 2010. It makes you wonder.

This is it, the first work day of 2010. “Get Organized” makes the top 10 list of New Years Resolutions every year. Is it on your list? I am not a fan of resolutions because they are usually to big, too vague, and have little accountability. What I am a fan of, and think you will find useful, are a limited number of guidelines. Use these guidelines to determine whether the things you’re doing will contribute to your peak performance in 2010.

1.If you ever wonder”  What is or isn’t a project?” then you should read this article.

I’m confused about (and I’m sure you are extremely bored with this question, but from the books I couldn’t work out the answer) – how do you size projects?  I’m continually having problems working out what is or isn’t a project – and getting lost in the confusion.

2.I one way or another, we all have this problem, of undervaluating  Why You’re Undervaluing Yourself (And How to Stop).

Do you feel uncomfortable charging for your creativity? Maybe you’re an illustrator – you draw because you love to, but you can’t bring yourself to ask people to pay fifty dollars for something which, to you, seems like a glorified doodle. Perhaps you’re a writer and you can’t understand why anyone would pay you fifty dollars or more for a blog post. Or you’re a coach, a programmer, a graphic designer, a cake decorator, a social media expert…

Whatever it is you do (or want to do), there are a couple of things you should know:

  • You are good at this – even if that statement causes knee-jerk resistance
  • There are a lot of people who cannot do what you do and who are more than happy to pay you

3. At some point, when we have a business, and we really want it to work we start to think on how to be (more) productive.  6 Productivity Principles to Live By (My Personal Productivity Manifesto)

Here are six principles I strive to live by. This is my own “personal productivity manifesto”: it summarizes what works for me about personal productivity.

Whenever I follow these guidelines, I am at my very best, feeling productive and joyful. If I feel that I am doing things outside these guidelines, I know I can refer to them and quickly get back on track.

Since these principles work so well for me, I figured they might work for you, too.

4.For the ending of this “Daily Links”, I saved something funny for all you twitters:). So, do you think you tweet too much? Read this, and leave me your result! 5 Signs You Tweet Too Much.

I’ve noticed people I enjoy following are worried that they’re tweeting too much.  And since I can’t just say tweet on, friend, because that’s alarmingly creepy and nobody says tweet on, friend, I will craft a handy list of signs so you know if you’re tweeting too much.

If you do these things, you tweet too much.

Happy New Year!

The Daily Links are back!:)

For today I have some very interesting links. Like always, actually.

1. From Ian’s Messy Desk, I have a very interesting article about leadership. How to Be a Leader

Do you get frustrated by things that don’t seem to happen the way they’re supposed to? People are milling about, but nothing gets accomplished. In the hustle, do you feel that your goals remain just that – goals?

Maybe its time for you to stand up and do something about it.

2.If you are the leader of a project, you have to read these 6 Ways to Motivate Others.

If you’re leading a group of people towards success, you must learn how to motivate others. If you concentrate on understanding what motivates others and you meet the needs of these people, you’ll be on the right track for a positive and enlightening experience for all involved.

3. We all have meetings, and I also know that notes are very important. Here are some tips for taking meeting notes.

Curious if anyone has any tips/symbols or shortcuts for notetaking. I tend to write circles next to actionable items when I’m taking meeting notes and starring important items, but always looking for a better system.

*Please do read the comments for this article.

For starters, I want you to know that I am huge fan of the ZenHabits-blog, so my recommendations for today are mostly from them.

1. In one way or another, we all get tired at some point to work at the same project, or doing the same stuff. so, we have here a “A Guide to Cutting Back When You Feel Overwhelmed”.

There are days in everyone’s life when they feel overwhelmed by the stresses and tasks and projects and phone calls and emails that weigh upon them. Yes, even the minimalists like me get overwhelmed from time to time.

How do you deal with it? There are many ways, of course, from eating and smoking and drinking to exercise and meditation and more.

My recommendation: Cut back. Simplify. De-load.

2.  I really like reading motivational articles. It motivates me, and that is happening … daily. So, here is a ” Top 20 Motivation Hacks – An Overview”

Achieving goals is not a matter of having “discipline”. It’s a matter of motivating yourself, and keeping your focus on your goal. Follow these hacks, or any combination of them that works for you, and you should have the motivation and focus you need.

Here they are, in reverse order (links take you to more on each)…

3. I like this Christmas-New Year’s Eve period. It’s when we all think about what we did in the year that has just passed, and we make plans for the one that’s about to come. But, do we really stick to this exact plan?  “The Definitive Guide to Sticking to Your New Year’s Resolutions.”

Let’s face it: most of us fail when it comes to sticking to resolutions — so much so that many people swear never to make resolutions again.

And yet the rest of us are eternally hopeful when the New Year comes around, believing without any credible evidence that we can improve our lives, that change is possible, that we’re not going to be stuck in the same old rut again this year.

I’m here to tell you that you can do it. It’s possible. I’ll show you how.

4. Al last but not least, from the Dumb Little Man – Blog,  I have something that’s going to help us mantain our plans for the next year. And that is Ten Essential Time Management Tips

It doesn’t matter whether you’re self-employed, employed or a student: over the past six years, I’ve been an undergraduate student, a full-time employee, a part-time postgraduate student, and a freelancer – and these tips work for all those situations!

1. For this article, I think it’s better to start with the headline. “The Most Powerful Productivity Technique Ever”. Well, isn’t that a thing that almost every GTD user would like to know?

“Work as if you are being audited, and have to explain every single minute of your day.”

2. Trends that will influence 2010 and beyond This is kinda the often subject that  bloggers are writing about, at one year’s end. What will happen in the year that comes?

“Ad giant JWT has done a year-end forecast for the past several years and has just released their thoughts on what 2010 will bring.

Here’s a glance at the 10 trends they believe will shape this next year.”

3. 25 Tips to Help Keep You Motivated In the battle of “who’s more productive than me” I suggest you all to keep your spirit motivated! So… who’s the most motivated?

Do you find it difficult to stay motivated long enough to accomplish your goals? Do you find yourself losing interest just even before you reach your goals? Here are some tips to help you learn motivation mastery and maximize your success.
