I’m in the mood for something simple now…

so I just sort my tasks on the “energy required to perform” column :) .

We will have that not so far in the future.

When you create a task you will be ableĀ  set a “energy required” attribute and then sort on this.

Medhi, thanks again for that suggestion.

I would like a similar function for an “urgency rating”. I could use the energy rating as my urgency rating, but being able to sort on both urgency and energy would be even better.

The risk is that the program will become to cluttered. In the long run it might be best be able to add the columns (and other functions) you want to see/use from a list of alternatives. This way the you get a very simple TaskWriter when you start using it, but can add more functions when/if you need them. I do understand that this would take quite some work to implement.

I agree. Next step for us will be to be able to add your custom sorting and grouping in the task list. For example, “group tasks by project and sort on context”.

The next step after that would be something similar to what you describe. Eventually allowing every user to define how many extra fields he wishes, with the meaning he choose to assign. (e.g. someone could have ‘energy’ and ‘urgency’ defined, while others might have ‘priority’ and ‘estimated time’

Cheers,
Katy

Hello Katy,

have you already thought implement an integration with other devices?
Taskwriter has a very good UI, so implement something like webservices or export data to standart formats will increment substancially the ‘quality’ of taskwriter!

Thanks!

PS: You can contact me if you need any kind of help.
