Firefox Extension : collect emails in Gmail

By katy

Yes, you just press a button and your email is automatically collected into TaskWriter. Even better, you can add new text in front of the URL (just write in the address bar), and it will be added to the task name (e.g. “this is the mail john is asking about X, reply ASAP http://mail.google.com/mail/#inbox/123559f1254b2394″)

collectemail

See how to install the Firefox Extension.

Hi,

This is a nice feature, but instead of using the URL as the task title, would it be possible to use the message title instead ?
RE: late cornflakes project, AGAIN !!!

instead of

[edited : some long URL gmail pointing to gmail.com]

Does this make sense ?

Yes, it makes a lot of sense, and I agree it’s nicer :) We’ll have a look into that.

Meanwhile, you could maybe copy paste the subject manually in front of the URL, as shown here : http://www.taskwriter.com/blog/firefox-extension-collect-websites-urls/

I know it’s more work to do, but might be of help till we can do that automatically.
